This is a simple and effective little piece just 37 (harmonically slow) bars long. There is a lot of unison voice writing supporting the solo treble – the trumpet must be a poor wordless alternative to the treble soloist who repeats the words just sung by the choir. Although effective, it may be a little of a boring sing as there is little for the choir to get its teeth into.
