The Institute of British Organ Building has instigated a series of information leaflets about the organ. The first three publications are: Church Heating, Writing Organ Reports and Handling Asbestos. More titles are planned in areas such as: Adhesives, The Faculty System, Electronics. The leaflets produced to date are short, practical guides that will be of especial value to those responsible for the care of church organs in particular - especially churchwardens and organists. The style is simple yet informative, and the various technical terms are explained. The leaflets complement the Council for the Care of Churches' booklet Sounds Good: A Guide to Church Organs, for Incumbents, Churchwardens and PCCs (ISBN 0 7151 7594 7), published by the Council at Church House Publishing, Great Smith Street, London, SW1P 3NZ
